Launch of the Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Training Pathway
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Training Pathway, delivered as part of our new GDASS contract. This one-year pilot has been developed with input from the Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board (LPB) and wider partners to build knowledge and confidence at every level across Gloucestershire.

The Pathway provides a tiered approach, ensuring all professionals have the skills to recognise, respond to, and support those affected by domestic abuse. Training is free to access and includes the following modules:

Entry Level: Introduction to Domestic Abuse Awareness
For: All staff
A general introduction to domestic abuse and the support available. This session covers your role and responsibilities in identifying and responding to abuse, including safeguarding colleagues and employees.

Level 1: Domestic Abuse Basic Awareness Training
For: All frontline and support staff
Builds on entry-level knowledge by exploring the different types of abuse, their impact, and associated risks. Equips staff to recognise the signs, ask safe questions, and take appropriate action.

Level 2: Enhanced Domestic Abuse Training
For: Frontline staff working directly with victims
Provides in-depth understanding of domestic abuse, complex needs, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding.

Level 2: Domestic Abuse and Risk Training
For: Frontline staff working directly with victims
Focuses on risk assessment skills (including DASH), MARAC processes, and other multi-agency safeguarding responses.
Entry Level and Level 1 sessions are now available to book on the link below, and Level 2 sessions will be launching soon.

Together, we can build a stronger, more coordinated community response to domestic abuse.
