GDASS was delighted to attend Dunelm Gloucester’s Delivering Joy Christmas celebration, after being part of their Delivering Joy Tree initiative this year. Julie and I were warmly welcomed to an evening designed to bring local organisations together and recognise the generosity of the community.
The event was led by organiser Eden, whose enthusiasm set the tone for the night, supported by her festive Elf who took on the very important role of bingo caller and prize giver. We enjoyed delicious food, played several rounds of bingo, and were treated to a wonderful performance of Christmas carols by The Variations Academy.
We were joined by fellow local organisations Gloucestershire Bundles, The Spring Centre, and The Pied Piper. It was a great opportunity to connect, share some laughs, and celebrate the support that makes a tangible difference for local families.
The kindness shown through the Delivering Joy Tree has been remarkable. We came away with thoughtful gifts that will bring comfort and joy to the people we work with.
